Subscription Slayer (v1.0) (for Tana) NOW AVAILABLE!
Subscription Slayer is a new Template for the Tana OS, currently in development by the fantastic team at https://tana.inc/
This template is a medieval monster-battle adventure story that will help you manage your monthly subscriptions and apps, track your monthly costs, prompt you to decide between paid or free versions, and do so in a fun way so that you stay with it!
❓Why build a monster-battle subscription app manager? 🤔
- Over the last 5-10 years, the number of apps and web-based subscriptions that we have access to on a daily basis has absolutely exploded.
- Between all of the entertainment, media, and amazing tools that we have access to, we are swimming in a torrent of tools and resources that are extremely difficult to manage what we are paying for, what we are actively using, and what the best options are for our own personal digital ecosystems.
- What we need is a single dashboard where we can see our entire system in action!
❓OK but why the silly monster-battle schtick and the choose your own adventure parodies? 😕
- Because you could already do this for yourself pretty easily with a Windows Excel template, but you probably don't, do you?
- For the right type of person, the mood of this adventure game will land, and as it activates both sides of their brains, it will make an otherwise mundane budgeting task into a light-hearted game experience where they picture Netflix or Spotify as a snarling but charming monster that they need to decide whether to slay, befriend, or run away from. Hopefully most of the corporate legal departments have a sense of humor?
So anyway, I hope you enjoy the template. It is currently free to use. I would love your feedback on how it's working for you, so please email me at aaron.lawson@knowledgeworkstudio.com with any feedback. I do have plans for future updates, and I would love to hear your ideas!
